role <strong>of</strong> local residents from the Great De<strong>press</strong>ion, learn about counterfeiting and do their own replica bank<br />

Free-entry, Openings, Visit, Exhibit Unveiling<br />

In celebration <strong>of</strong> <strong>International</strong> Museum Day and New York State Heritage Weekend, a celebration <strong>of</strong> New<br />

York’s history and culture, the Marine Museum will kick <strong>of</strong>f the 2011 summer season the weekend <strong>of</strong> May 14<br />

and 15, from 1-5 pm. As part <strong>of</strong> the celebration, the Museum, which includes a main exhibit building, National<br />

Historic Landmark WWII Tug, "LT-5" and other vessels, will be open to the public free both days. One<br />

temporary exhibit in the Museum's new Art Gallery will be "Lighthouses" by local artist Nick D'Innocenzo,<br />

which will be unveiled with a ribbon cutting by the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce on Saturday<br />

at 1pm. <strong>The</strong> Museum is open daily 1-5 pm year around and July and August 10-5 pm.<br />
