Amerindian art and its heritage in the Creole World (Saturday, 21 May, 2011, 14:00 - 22:00)
Free entry, conference, visit, performance, workshop.
The animation will begin in the afternoon with scientific activities for the general public (conferences about
archeological excavations, presentation of excavation material by archeologists, film screenings…).
Meanwhile, families will discover workshops of Amerindian artistic practices (corporeal paintings, drawings on
calabash, music…).
Finally, during the evening, contemporary artists will present their pieces of Amerindian inspiration and the
public will be entertained with a concert of lambis conch and storytellers’ performances in the park.
