Our museum and its collections (18.05.2011, 11:00)
Opening exhibition.
"Our museum and its collections" is a photo exhibition. It presents the building of the museum, which is a
cultural monument in late baroque style. It also presents the Ethnographic house of the museum. Emphasis is
on some popular exponents. Among them is the Good Shepherd - a unique marble statue, dated from the 4th
century. Unique is also the early Christian marble cross with relief decoration with oak twigs. Additional
exponents are objects of the daily round, which tell the history of the Bulgarian people during different
periods. Each object is present with a photo and a short annotation.
