International Museum of Peace and Solidarity
"Live Music at the Museum"
Cultural and Artistic Evening.
In partnership with the Samarkand State Museums and the City
Department for Cultural Affairs, on 9th April we are planning to
start a cycle of events to celebrate the International Museum Day
2011. During the "Live Music at the Museum" Cultural and Artistic
Evening we'll introduce "Charming Hostess" band from the USA.
Our American guests, composer and vocalist Jewlia Eisenberg and
multi-wind instrumentalist Jason Ditzian will present their
innovative historical-cultural and musical project - The Bowls
Project - inspired by Babylonian amulets. "Charming Hostess" will
be joined on stage by the Samarkand musicians playing Uzbek
national instruments. The event will take place in the old and
beautifully decorated reception hall of the Samarkand Museum
for Regional Studies. The activists of Samarkand Peace Museum
will give to all participants multicoloured paper cranes - an
international symbol of peace, friendship and good will.
