Clore Garden of Science
Free visit to the Clore Garden of Science (throughout May 18)
Free-entry, guided tour.
During the International Museum Day, the garden is open to visitors, free of charge.
The Clore Garden of Science is an entirely outdoor science museum. It was designed to bring people of all ages
closer to science in all its fascinating aspects. The Garden enables the visitor to experience science through
interactive exhibits that demonstrate the principles and natural phenomena that influence our life. The Clore
Garden of Science spans 8000 square meters, all under the open sky. Natural elements such as sunlight, wind,
and water play an important part in many of the Garden's hands-on displays. The designers of the Garden took
advantage of the unique dimensions of the outdoor setting, and built exhibits as tall as 20 meters.
Experimenting and activating the exhibits is one of the great pleasures awaiting visitors to the Clore Garden of
Science.

On International Museum Day 2011, the Israel Museum opens
its doors free of charge to the public. Apart from the
magnificent permanent galleries in art, archaeology and
Jewish art and life, renewed and reopened in July 2010, the
Museum offers a rich program of temporary exhibitions,
including William Kentridge: Five Themes (contemporary art);
Helmar Lerski: Working Hands - Photographs from the 1940s;
The Prince and the Paper: Masterworks from the Esterhazy
Collection, Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest (prints and
drawings); and Life: A User's Manual (Youth Wing exhibition).
