Iraq Sulaymaniah Museum International Day of Museums (5/18/2011) Free-entry, performance, educational programme The Sulaymaniah Museum, the second largest museum in Iraq, will welcome the general public to a series of special events promoting Kurdish and Iraqi culture as expressed through the Sulaymaniah Museum and its schaeological collections. This is the first time the museum has used International Museum Day to promote the museum, its place in society and its relationship with the international museum community. A special educational programme for children is planned as well as a presentation of folk music and native Kurdish dress.
