to celebrate
second
anniversary
April 25
The DP Diner at the
Dwelling Place, 8201 Angola
Road, will celebrate its
second anniversary on Thursday,
April 25, from 5 to 6:30
“In the last two years, we
have served over 3,600 people
meals,” said the Reverend
Josh Plaisance.
In the first year the diner
was open once a month, serving
meals to area residents.
“This year, we have been
serving the last two Thursdays
of the month,” said the
pastor.
Meals are served by a
staff of volunteers who shop,
cook, prep, serve and cleanup
after each meal.
In celebration of their second
anniversary, the DP
Diner will be serving grilled
barbecued chicken, potato
salad, baked beans, chips,
salad and a dessert.
Since 1983, Mr. Carruth has produced more than 500 original
designs for the home and garden. He left the corporate
world and founded his own business with wife Deborah Carruth.
Compelled Church opens Holland location
On March 28, the Reverend Tim Rabara and members of his congregation held a grand
opening of the Compelled Church at its new location, 1007 South McCord Road, Holland.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by the Holland-Springfield Chamber of Commerce,
and chamber board members welcomed the congregation to the community.
“We have a passion for those who do not yet know Christ, and that is the driving force
for the church’s mission,” said the pastor. He noted that the church has multiple sites in
northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, allowing the pastors to reach more people. “The
smaller campuses also offer the opportunity to build closer relationships,” he added.
Services are held at 11 a.m. on Sundays. For more information, visit the Web site at
