history of pancreatitis (Groups 2). Serum cholesterol concentrations were significantly<br />

higher in dogs of Group 1 (median: 287.6 mg/dL) than of those in Group 2 (median:<br />

214.0 mg/dL; P=0.002). Only 5 dogs in Group 1 and 2 dogs in Group 2 had serum<br />

cholesterol concentrations above the upper limit of the reference interval. The dashed<br />

line represents the upper limit of the reference interval.
