169 9) Important differences exist in lipoprotein profiles between dogs with pancreatitis and healthy control dogs. Dogs with pancreatitis have higher LDL fractions (mainly LDL 2 , LDL 3 , and LDL 4 ) and lower TRL and HDL fractions (mainly HDL 2a and HDL 3c ) than healthy control dogs. These changes in lipoprotein profiles are evident in the majority of dogs with pancreatitis, even in those dogs with serum concentrations of triglyceride and cholesterol within the reference interval.
