Rail Transport<br />

The FMG made availdble to ICRC free of charge the use of one railroad which<br />

goes from Lagos to Oturkpo, via Ibadan, Minna, Kaduna, Kafenchan, Lafia,<br />

and Makurdi once a month. ?he trip takes from 3 to 4 weeks, and ICRC<br />

could transport 1600 tons of food -free each time.<br />

Road Transmrt<br />

Due to the war which destroyed one section of the brl.dge at Nsukka there<br />

are only a few land routes of limited capacity open to the Fst. The<br />

shortest via the Lakojo Ferry across the Nippr River makes only about three<br />

trips a day and can carry 14 cars or six lorries. It is usually jamned
