9.2 DESIGN<br />
A toLa1 <strong>of</strong> 4 separaLe experi<strong>ment</strong>s were carried out. Experi<strong>ment</strong> I was<br />
designed to see if <strong>the</strong>re was a relationship between <strong>the</strong> response <strong>of</strong><br />
subjects <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rapid Dark Adaptation Test (Thornton, 1977 )<br />
and <strong>in</strong> a<br />
1O-second Test (modification <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rapid Dark Àdaptation Test) "<br />
Experi<strong>ment</strong> II was designed to quantitate fluctuations <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> perception<br />
