Who can apply?<br />
Experienced researchers<br />
Researchers who at the date of the deadline are in<br />
possession of a doctoral degree, or having at least 4<br />
years of full-time equivalent research experience<br />

addresses researchers with a more senior<br />
profile in terms of experience”<br />

Eligibility Criteria (<strong>IEF</strong>)<br />
• Researchers must be nationals of a Member<br />
State or Associated country and the host<br />
institution's premises must be located in a<br />
different Member State or Associated country<br />
• They must not have resided or carried out their<br />
main activity (work, studies, etc) in the country<br />
of the host organisation for more than 12<br />
months in the 3 years prior to the relevant<br />
deadline for submission.<br />

How long does the fellowship last?<br />
•Financial support is provided to the proposals<br />
selected by the Commission, for a period of 12<br />
to 24 months full-time equivalents (FTEs).<br />
•Part time: possible but difficult to obtain (not<br />
automatic)<br />

How does it work?<br />
Proposals are submitted jointly by the host<br />
organisation and the individual researcher,<br />
within the specified deadlines, and are evaluated<br />
by external independent experts against a series<br />
of predetermined criteria.<br />

which 1.672 were eligible.<br />

oversubscribed and very competitive in terms<br />
