On Wednesday, June 12, po. lice received a phone caB from Francis Hoffman of 18791 Me. Cormick, Detroit. an employe of the service station, whO reo ported that two men in a car drove into the station, removed two tires from a rack, and then drove north on ::\fack toward Vernier. Patrolman Thomas Podeszwik, on the alert for the pair and their car, spotted them at Vernier, near the Edsel Ford Freeway, and stopped them. The officer called for assist. ance.
