• Current students: Online registration only – please use your Skyward access code to register<br />

• All courses with fees must be paid for in full before registration will be accepted. E-funds payment option is<br />

preferred, otherwise mail your checks to:<br />

• Online registration begins March 20. Classes will have caps on enrollment, so please register early.<br />

Registrations must be completed by June 15.<br />

• Classes that have less than 8 students will be cancelled and students will be notified to select another<br />

class.<br />

• Skill builder/booster sessions will be held at the following sites:<br />

Parents will be notified if their child needs to register for these classes by June 1. These classes can also<br />

be a choice option for those parents who feel their child may benefit from the support before the new school<br />

year begins.<br />

Summer School Online Registration Instructions<br />

Online Registration begins on Wednesday, March 20 th at 8:00 A.M. and ends on Saturday, June 15 th at<br />

10:00 P.M. Register early as all classes for enrollment caps and are closed when full.<br />

*Please Note: Online registration is for students currently in Grades 4K through 7 in the<br />

Hartland/Lakeside School system. All other students must submit paper registration to the District<br />

Office.<br />

1. Log on to the Hartland/Lakeside website at www.hartlake.org and click on the Summer School tab.<br />

2. Click on Family Access and log in using your Skyward username and password. At the top of the<br />

page, click on the down arrow next to Student to find the student you want to register and the down<br />

arrow next to School to find Summer School. You will need to do this for every student you want to<br />

register.<br />

3. Click on Courses for 2012-2013 in the left column.<br />

4. Click the down arrow next to Select Period and add the class period (1-4) that you want to schedule.<br />

Click the Search key. The list of classes is sorted by period. Only courses that your student can sign<br />

up for will display (based on grade level).<br />

5. Click the Add button in front of the course number to select the courses you would like to enroll in.<br />

Click the remove button to remove a course from your student’s schedule. Term refers to the<br />

session, T1 runs from June 24 th through July 12 th , T2 runs from July 15 th through August 2 nd and T3<br />

runs from August 12 th through August 23 rd . Prd is the start time: 1 is 8:30, 2 is 9:30, 3 is 10:30 and<br />

4 is 11:30. Clicking on the blue Next or Previous buttons at the bottom of the page, gives you more<br />

selections. The cost of each class is listed under Subject. Seats Avail tells you how many seats are<br />

available for the class. If the class is full, you will need to pick a different class.


6. When you have picked all the classes you want, click on the Selected Classes tab to verify your<br />

student’s schedule.<br />

7. If you are done, click on the Submit Classes tab at the top of the page, verify your student’s schedule<br />

again and then click Submit Schedule. Print out a copy of your student’s schedule to bring along on<br />

the first day. You can now register your next student.<br />

8. The last step is paying for your classes. The preferred method of payment is Efunds. After logging<br />

into Efunds, go to the Summer Splash tab under Schools and Add a payment. Payment can also be<br />

made by check. Total fees for all <strong>summer</strong> school classes, for your whole family, can be paid with<br />

one check. Send one copy of your student(s) schedules with the check made out to<br />

Hartland/Lakeside Schools and marked <strong>summer</strong> school to the District office. Payment must be<br />

received by May 24 th . Once we receive and verify your payments, your student(s) schedules will be<br />

approved.<br />

In this class you will learn virtual ways of<br />

increasing your math skills and thinking using<br />

the I-Pad and a variety of math<br />

applications/games. Come explore the virtual<br />

world of math and get your thinking cap on!<br />

How does the brain work? How do you use your<br />

senses to discover the world around you? In this<br />

class you will explore your senses and identify<br />

their importance through interactive games,<br />

class will introduce very the basic concepts of<br />

neuroscience and how your brain works.<br />

How does rock candy resemble crystals? What<br />

does a layer cake have to do with sedimentary<br />

rock? This class will offer discovery into the<br />

world of geology: rocks, earthquakes, volcanoes,<br />

and much more. Through labs and<br />

investigations, you will plunge into our earth and<br />

its mysteries.<br />

Foodology: Mix, Measure, Create:<br />

Come and explore how simple ingredients can<br />

make great eating! You will learn measurement,<br />

how to read a simple recipe, and how to<br />

combine simple ingredients to produce an edible<br />

delectable results. So put your chef hat on and<br />

This class will teach you basic skills in sewing<br />

and hand stitching you can use to produce a<br />

punching and kicking. But the benefits of<br />

martial arts training, especially for children<br />

are much more than simple physical<br />

Village of Hartland Summer Afternoon Camp<br />

North Shore Middle School<br />

800 E. North Shore Drive (Ages 6 - 12)<br />

Each session of camp will have a fun and educational theme with corresponding games, crafts<br />

and field trips. Each camp session is one week long and includes a camp T-shirt (one per<br />

<strong>summer</strong>), fieldtrip transportation and entry fees. Each child is required to bring sunscreen, a<br />

bagged lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and plenty of water. Parents are encouraged to register<br />

their children three weeks prior to the start of camp! Registration forms should be returned<br />

directly to the Village of Hartland.<br />
