昨 夜 宿 祁 连 Last night I stayed at Qilian, 17
今 朝 过 酒 泉
This morning I passed through Jiuquan.
黄 沙 西 际 海
Yellow sands reach west into the great desert,
白 草 北 连 天
White grasses extend north to the sky.
愁 里 难 消 日
In sorrow I pass the days with great difficulty,
归 期 尚 隔 年
The date of return is still separated by years.
