The Santa Monica-based
company reported 129 sales
from its Aug. 15 through Aug.
16 auctions valued at $50.8
million.
A1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB
California Spider brought the
most: $5,115,000.
An Aston Martin, a Jaguar
and a Buick broke their previous
sales records, Gooding reported.
This kind of market takes
on a life of its own. Winning
bids sometimes verify the professional
presale value estimates;
