We read the sections on repentance and rebirth<br />
once more; together we confessed our guilt<br />
before God and received forgiveness and eternal<br />
life, being for ever grateful for God’s provision on<br />
Calvary. It was a great help in our situation that<br />
the way of salvation is described very clearly in<br />
this book, as well as the practical steps required<br />
for repentance and conversion. In our case,<br />
where conversion did not take place in the presence<br />
of an experienced Christian, the assistance<br />
provided by the book, even an already formulated<br />
prayer which we used as a guide, was very<br />
important. We also became aware of the importance<br />
of belonging to a Bible-based church. We<br />
have now joined a free evangelical congregation<br />
in Lemgo.<br />
