Nurseries<br />
Offer<br />
Nurseries are pedagogical institutions beyond the school, to look after the children<br />
from std. 1 – 6.<br />
The nurseries are run by pedagogically trained experts. They are <strong>support</strong>ed by<br />
honorary <strong>homework</strong>-helpers. The offer includes worthy freetime arrangement,<br />
social integration, <strong>homework</strong>-<strong>support</strong> <strong>and</strong> learning-guidance (no private lessons).<br />
Nurseries are available at the following schools: Gotthelf, Lerchenfeld,<br />
Neufeld, Schönau, Schubertstrasse, Bostuden as well as at Martinpark.<br />
Office timings Monday – Thursday 14.00 - 18.00<br />
Friday 14.00 - 17.00<br />
The nurseries are closed on school-holidays.<br />

Informations<br />
To get the admission, the application must arrive before new schoolyear begins.<br />
The application is valid for the whole year <strong>and</strong> for the ordered careunits.<br />
The careunits are given on the application form. Changes can be done before<br />
the end of the semester, if good reason is given. Application is possible<br />
throughout the year as long as there is vacancy.<br />
Parents are obliged to see, that their child is regular to nursery. Parents have to<br />
inform the respected person in case the child can’t attend the nursery-lessons.<br />
Indisciplined children <strong>and</strong> the children who often miss the lessons without<br />
good reason can be dismissed from the nursery.<br />
The bill will be sent quarterly according to the guidelines “Kanton Bern”. The<br />
amount of fee can vary from the income <strong>and</strong> household. The rates can be seen<br />
on the tariftable.<br />
Accident insurance is parents look out.<br />
Further Informations can be collected by class teacher, <strong>Nursery</strong> teacher or<br />
by “Amt für Bildung”.<br />
