Library Services<br />
<strong>Gosford</strong> <strong>City</strong> Library has eight branches and is the<br />
gateway to a world of print and digital resources -<br />
whether for educational, informational, recreational or<br />
cultural needs. Each branch provides free lending and<br />
information services and offers a range of activities for<br />
adults, young adults and children.<br />

Library Membership and Borrowing<br />
Library membership is free to all <strong>Gosford</strong> local<br />
government area residents and to all people studying<br />
and working within the area. Up to ten items may be<br />
borrowed for a period of three weeks and renewed<br />
once, provided the item has not been reserved.<br />
Children’s and Young Adult Services<br />
Specialised services are provided to children, young<br />
adults and their parents through specialist collections,<br />
pre-school storytime, school holiday activities, book<br />
clubs and outreach programs.<br />

Information Services<br />
The services available include local studies, family<br />
history, inter-library loans, community information,<br />
Legal Information Access Centre (LIAC), electronic<br />
resources, and specialist information requests.<br />

Outreach Services<br />
Book Express is a portable library service that visits<br />
Woy Woy and <strong>Gosford</strong> railway stations from 5.30<br />
to 8.00 am. The service offers a range of paperback<br />
fiction, non-fiction and DVDs; and visits Woy Woy<br />
station on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and <strong>Gosford</strong><br />
station on Wednesdays and Fridays.<br />
The Bookmobile visits selected nursing homes, rural<br />
schools and other community locations throughout<br />
the city. The timetable is available on the <strong>Council</strong><br />
website or at library branches.<br />
A Home Library Service is available for eligible library<br />
members in the <strong>Gosford</strong> local government area who<br />
are housebound, and unable to get to a library branch.<br />
