The “Sound Pressure Level“ (SPL) is a standard unit of measurement
for the volume of a headphone. The sensitivity value
expresses the volume in decibels (dB) which the headphones can
reproduce if the signal input is arranged for an electrical performance
of 1mW. An SPL of 100 dB is roughly equivalent to the
volume of a concert, whilst 60 dB is roughly as loud as the
human voice.
