Play is important for children of all ages and teaches
humans to interact with one another and their
surrounds. Through personal experience, interaction
and participation, young children learn to understand
themselves and the environment they are a part of.
Exploration of the surrounding environment and the
testing of their own physical capacity and abilities
are major elements of play.
Gosford City Council acknowledges the rights
of children to play and grow in a stimulating and
safe environment. Through the provision of parks,
reserves, foreshores and playgrounds we aim to
provide opportunities for recreation
for current and future generations.
