The Town Board of Frederick<br />

met on Nov. 7, 2011 at the Community<br />

Center at 7p.m. Present<br />

were board members Tom<br />

mMyer, Dennis Kinslow, Scott<br />

Campbell, finance officer Max<br />

Kinslow. Patrons present were<br />

Jim Dumire, Georgia Smith and<br />

Craig Larson.<br />

The meeting was called to<br />

order by Chr. Kinslow. Minutes of<br />

the Oct. meeting were reviewed,<br />

motion by Meyer/Kinslow to<br />

approve, motion carried. the<br />

financial report of Oct. was<br />

reviewed, motion by Campbell/Meyer<br />

to approve, motion<br />

Nov. were reviewed, motion by<br />

OLD BUSINESS:<br />

UTILITIES- The bentonite has<br />

now been put into holes near the<br />

lagoon to prevent ground seepage<br />

into the lagoon.The board<br />

discussed some streets that<br />

need to be repaired due to settling,<br />

no action taken.Electrical<br />

work should be getting done this<br />

month at the Community Center<br />

and then cabinets installed.<br />

Historical Society- the water<br />

can be shut off in Dec. after the<br />

last planned activity at the hall.<br />

Frederick Forward- Georgia<br />

Smith brought the board up<br />

to date on activities they have<br />

sponsored or taken part in.<br />

Frederick can be included in a<br />

meeting to be held in Aberdeen<br />

regarding the 1000 jobs project.<br />

No one appeared for the<br />

Library.<br />

NEW BUSINESS:<br />

Liq. Lic. approval for 2012-<br />

there are no changes to the<br />

operating agreements for the<br />

Titan Cafe or Community Store<br />

prior to license renewal with the<br />

state. Motion by Meyer/Campbell<br />

to renew the city’s liquor license<br />

and operating agreements with<br />

both parties, motion carried.<br />

Public Notices- last month a<br />

patron asked for minutes from<br />

the meetings. Legals(minutes)<br />

are posted for the public’s convenience<br />

at www.397news.com.<br />

Resignation- the current finance<br />

officer presented the<br />

board with her resignation for<br />

personal reason’s. The board<br />

thanked her for her service.<br />

Motion by Meyer/Campbell to accept<br />

resignation with the request<br />

to train the new person.For the<br />

present time the finance office<br />

will remain in the same location,<br />

however the office will be moved<br />

elsewhere when the job is filled.<br />

Craig Larson- presented the<br />

board with quotes for supposed<br />

damage to the vehicles moved<br />

from their property. The information<br />

will be turned over to<br />

the insurance company and an<br />

attorney for opinion. He also<br />

mentioned he felt they had been<br />

singled out since there are other<br />

places around town that need to<br />

be cleaned up as well and had<br />

they been notified. Dependiong<br />

on severity of violation and<br />

number of complaints is the determination<br />

for sending a letter<br />

of complaint to a property owner.<br />

The board told him they were not<br />

singled out, the board explained<br />

the complaint process.<br />

Main Street Station- Jim Dumire<br />

asked the board if he would<br />

be able to bounce the GPS installed<br />

on the fuel tanks from the<br />

phone at the library. This system<br />

measures the fill level of the fuel<br />

tanks as he is now getting delivery<br />

of fuel. Motion by Campbell/<br />

Meyer to approve this use of the<br />

phone signal, motion carried.<br />

Chairman Sutton at 8:45 a.m.<br />

in the Commissioner’s Chambers,<br />

Courthouse Annex, Brown<br />

County, SD. Present were Commissioners<br />

and Wiese. Chairman Sutton<br />
