Mr. S. Wilrnot, Superintendent of Fish Culture, Newcastle, Ont.<br />

Lieut. A. B. Gordon, R.N., Commanding Fisheries Protection Service,<br />

Toronto, Ontario.<br />

These, together with the Fishery Overseers and Wardens in the several Pro..<br />

vinces, including the officers and crews of the "Fisheries Protection Cruisers,"<br />

totals 885 persons; to this number might be added about 25 Special Fishery<br />

Guardians, who are employeJ for short periods during the close seasons, making<br />

a total of 910 persons engaged in the fisheries service of the Dominion.<br />

For a full repert of the operations of this service for the season of 1888, I beg<br />

to refer to the report already submitted to Parliament.<br />
