the replacement of the DtD by schemas is nearly mandatory, especially because
the conventions for creating a system of attribute values are rather limited
for a DtD. Another fact concerns the readability for a human user. In
general, it is said that XmL instances are made for machines, and the markup
as shown in the following example only bears out this opinion.
