TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CCI
Validity
The Camping Card International
(CCI) is only valid provided:
• the expiry date stated on the
card has not yet been exceeded
• the cardholder is a member of a
club affiliated with the AIT, FIA
or FICC;
• the information on the card is
legible.
Cardholders must:
• respect the rules of the campsite
• obtain permission before camping
at sites not officially registered
as campsites
• obtain permission before
making a campfire
• take care not to damage plants
and greenery and take their rubbish
with them when they leave
• help maintain proper hygiene at
the campsite
• respect the privacy of others
and any curfews
• observe the campsite’s
regulations
Uses
The CCI can be used as:
• proof of identity when registering
at campsites so that
cardholders do not have to leave
their passports as security
• proof of third-party insurance at
campsites, in rented accommodation
or in hotels
• proof that cardholders are entitled
to the discounts described in
this brochure.
Proof of identity
The CCI is accepted as proof of
identity upon registration at
almost all campsites. However,
campsite operators are not
required to accept the CCI. There
is a compulsory camping pass in
Denmark and Sweden (the CCI
can function as a ‘camping pass’).
However, the CCI is not accepted
at some Swedish campsites.
You can obtain a separate Swedish
camping card at the campsite or
order it in advance on the Internet.
Your club does not supply this
card. Although the card itself is
available free of charge, you need
to purchase a stamp to validate
it. The stamp costs 125 Swedish
krona (about 13 euros) and must
be bought at the campsite. More
information is available at www.
camping.se.
The AIT (the publisher of the CCI)
has submitted a complaint about
these extra costs to the SCR (the
publisher of the Swedish card).
In addition the AIT has written to
all campsites affiliated with the
SCR to ask whether they will still
accept the CCI. A large number
of campsites have replied that
they will. Independent campsites
in Sweden and other parts of
Scandinavia have also objected to
