FOREWORD<br />
Camping is a wonderful way to holiday. Imagine. The stress of packing and travelling is<br />
over. You have left all your worries behind. The tent is up, the caravan ready. Now you<br />
can revel completely in the wonderful moments that it’s all about. Indulging yourself<br />
in the sun, enjoying the breathtaking vistas and the rural tranquillity. Your children are<br />
having a great time romping around the grounds and you join in their games. And in<br />
the evenings, young and old alike gather around the barbeque or the two of you enjoy<br />
tasty local dishes in a delightful restau-rant.<br />
Carefree enjoyment, that’s what a camping holiday is all about. Decades ago this was<br />
the reason why several clubs came up with the idea of the Camping Card International.<br />
A camping card which allows you to hold onto your precious passport at the campsite.<br />
A card that offers the holder´s party additional third-party liability insur-ance cover in<br />
the event that damage is caused at a campsite. A card that allows campers to be that<br />
little bit less concerned about their final bill because the CCI has made arrangements<br />
with 1600 campsites to offer CCI card-holders (sometimes quite significant) discounts.<br />
And these discounts often apply in the high season too.<br />
