THE SOUND OF THE SOUL
You can really let your hair down playing football. At the theatre you anticipate 'what the keeps the world together inside'. A marathon sets limits, and if you
swim in the sea alone at night in Greece with the full moon shining down, you experience the centre of your hidden yearnings for unity with nature.
But where can you most intensely experience the vibrations deep inside, where can you hear the sound of our soul? At the piano.
Music takes us back to our roots, makes our daily anxieties vanish, whisks us away into a 'better world'.
Most deeply and intensively when we are sitting at an instrument ourselves. And when it is a digital piano from Casio.
ZPI-SOUNDCHIP
No invention has so drastically changed electronic instruments as 'sampling' has: the instruments colour tones
are no longer synthesised. Instead, the original sound is recorded, analysed and stored digitally — and when playing, a virtually original
reconstruction of the instrument can be heard. And the ZPI Soundchip unleashes the ultimate sophistication of this technique: the
'Polynominal Interpolation Synthesis' smoothens over the last ups and downs in the sound reconstruction and offers a naturalness and
absence of distortion unknown so far.
HAMMER-ACTION-KEYBOARD
Just as important as the sound of a piano is the feeling of the keys. The heaviness of
the keys, the pressure point you can feel, the repetition, that is the return of the keys
Key Axis
when playing repeating notes. Test the keyboard on the digital piano, close your eyes
and feel how close to the original feeling this is.
VIRTUOSO ART
PLAYING FROM NOTES
STYLE PIANO
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. For generations the genius has been
enchanting people all over the world with his music. In his
works we experience everything art can give: relaxation and
diversion, a feeling of pleasure and extreme happiness. This
kind of child prodigy is rare, but a spark of creativity and musical
ability is deep inside every one of us who takes pleasure in
beautiful sounds, the desire to communicate in the language of
music. We sing, we drum on the table and we dream of playing
an instrument so that we can express ourselves better.
It has never been so easy to turn from a consumer into an active musician. Our digital pianos not only inspire with a fantastic
richness of tone, they simplify learning, too—particularly for beginners. Up to 80 melodies in the memory can be
learned using sophisticated learning techniques, including sonatas by Amadeus, of course.
Play the CELVIANO. With the illuminated-key piano AL-100R especially, you will make incredible progress in a very short
time. The AP-65R proves to be the perfect accompaniment, the AP-40 shines in timeless black high-gloss design, and the
AP-25 makes it easy for you to begin.
Or place the STYLEPIANO. With just one instrument like the up-to-date PS-20, you'll be ahead in style at all times – and
not just acoustically!
It's easier for you in many respects than for old Mozart. With the option of regulating the volume and connecting headphones,
with the integrated memory that records your melodies, and the computer connection that can even print notes.
Discover the 'child prodigy' inside yourself, work on your own genius, be enraptured by the magic of music and, even better,
you will soon enrapture your audience. Who knows, Mozart might have called his most famous opera Magic Piano
today instead of Magic Flute.

of functions the PS-20 possesses.
YOU DON'T JUST
PLAY ANY KIND
OF MUSIC!
You love Bach and hate Dixie. You worship the Beatles, but can't stand the Stones. You
are always selective in your choice of music. But your own personal taste is also reflected
in the instrument you play. We think: there is enough monotone music and there are
enough run-of-the-mill instruments. Treat yourself to the luxury of an extraordinary
piano. Experience how the colours of your interpretations break in the brushed aluminium
finish of your piano, feel how the elegance gives the cool lines of your music a new
dimension. The PS-20 – an instrument as individual as your music.
The scaled Hammer-Action keyboard gives you
a natural playing feeling, the ZPI Soundchip
reconstructs the sound of a large grand piano
in overwhelming richness. Thanks to the
compact construction, the instrument can be
transported easily. It comes with or without a
stand and can also be played perfectly 'solo'
on a table or folding stand.

themselves: with sound generation using
the high-grade ZPI Soundchip, you can create the
sound of a large concert piano as well as 270 more
sounds on the scaled hammer-action keyboard.
Added to this, you can practise 70 melodies in the
memory with the integrated illuminated-key visual
learning system. Which simply opens up virtuoso
music even to beginners in a brilliant way.
Who wouldn't like to have a genuine, expressive
Van Gogh in his spacious foyer near to his perfectly
tuned grand piano? This kind of ambience
does have its attractions. But we need no really
expensive paintings or chambers to put us in the
spotlight. Just simply put your PL-40R as you like
near to your favourite picture at home and see
its effect. Be inspired and feel the virtuoso
expression of the picture going into your
music. Because you play on a perfect keyboard,
you experience a wonderful piano
sound, and all that in a body that will
tantalise both your eyes and your ears.

A bit of an exaggeration, admittedly.
A good, well-looked-after acoustic
piano is a joy – if you have the room,
insulated walls, a piano tuner and the
small change necessary. Our beginner's
instrument in contrast can be
had for the price of a good bike. The
AP-25 sounds virtually like the original,
its hammer-action keyboard feels
WHAT BEGINNERS
LOVE
Everything used to be much better!? The German mark, manners, beef. Exactly! But a
piano used to weigh 6 hundredweight (minimal), it was as mobile as an anvil and went
out of tune more easily than the piano tuner could start up his car after work. And the
neighbours were the 'most enthusiastic' – most of all about Beethoven after midnight.
How much? The price of a small car.
almost like it is exemplary, it never
goes out of tune, you can turn down the volume or connect
headphones, and it offers lots more. Eight colour tones,
MIDI connection, and your furniture removers will give you small
gifts when you next move.
Was everything really better then? Okay, manners definitely were.

EVERYTHING IN TUNE
You are probably familiar with the uncertain feeling when you unconsciously strike a key
on someone else's piano. You only wanted to hear a tone, but are shocked how loud and
intensive the sound is that is emitted from the large body. If you happened to be able to
play a little, you felt the urge to continue, and perhaps provide a small performance.
We have tried to integrate this feeling of definitely wanting to play
into the AP-38 for you. A feeling that does not leave you, because
everything is finely in tune: the original unmistakable keyboard you
again think you feel under the pressure of your finger, and the pure
piano sound that fills every room with new life. They are both here
in the AP-38.
And, of course, the strengths of the latest sound technology are
embedded in the ZPI Soundchip, alongside other useful functions, like
digital effects and keyboard spit/layer functions that will enhance
your irresistible desire to play with many new nuances—want to bet?
THE WOLF
IN A SHEEP’S CLOTHING
Good sheep are white, bad ones black. It's different with pianos. All the
major pianos in the world, in the music temples of this world – all the
jewels used to interpret the pearls of piano music gleam in the timeless,
majestic shine of a black, high-gloss piano lacquer. We give your digital
piano the fluid of grand concert halls.
Put a piece of modern tradition in your living-room. With the AP-40.
And this digital piano even has all the latest sound sophistication,
PLEASANT ACCOMPANYING
What has accompanied you so far in your life? In your dreams? When you danced for the first
time? Perhaps the inimitable sound of a piano – subtly in the background or even quite in the foreground.
The Celviano AP-65R is firstly a piano; quite sober, quite classic. But at all times in life it is
quite solo only there for you. And if you feel in need of lots of company, it turns out to be perfect
company. Whether you would like to hover through endless mirrored halls with Viennese waltzes,
turn the night into day with rock 'n' roll or gently fall asleep to the sound of soft ballads:
this instrument will be at your side and accompany you through all the different moods.
The unobtrusive and atmospheric background is guaranteed by the most up-to-date
technology: Scaled hammer-action keyboard, 232 colour tones,
automatic accompaniment with 78 rhythms and accompanying tunes, diskette drive,
sequencer and MIDI interface – for loading new songs and arrangements.
In case you feel like new company at some time ...
ILLUMINATED SIGNS
Lights direct the flows of traffic through bustling cities.
Ocean tankers navigate around cliffs guided by lighthouses and position
lamps. And even in the middle of the night, aeroplanes land safely
at their destination in pouring rain. Illuminated signs give us orientation
and help us to find our way. And now, for the first time in the
world of piano-playing. With the unique Key Lighting System of the
AL-100R you will navigate fast, precisely and effortlessly
along new musical paths.
The illuminated two-colour keyboard on the
AL-100R guides you easily through the 80 melodies
stored. First you learn the right hand, and then the
left, from simple studies through to demanding works,
no matter whether they are composed by Bach or the
Beatles. And the most amazing thing: although the keys
are fitted with the most up-to-date digital illumination
technology, they feel just like on a 'real piano': the resistance
of the keys, the heaviness, the reaction – you can
even feel the hammer action.
Obviously, the AL-100R is otherwise also a gleaming example
with its features: 271 tone colours, 100 rhythms and
accompaniments, digital effects, 16-track recording option,
diskette drive. Highlight: the three degrees of difficulty and a
huge display with notes and finger positions. That's how you
learn to play the piano in the 21st century.
AL-100R
KEY BY KEY
Learning to play a piano used to mean hard learning
for many music students. That, today, is certainly still
justified. But the patented illuminated-key visual learning
system from CASIO has made its mark worldwide.
With instruments like the AL-100R or the PL-40R, we
show that serious learning can be real fun. For novices
and experienced players, at home or at a music school.
Because the illuminated keys guide the student
through the songs key by key. The student is helped
through difficult passages visually in three degrees of
difficulty. Piece by piece.
NEW! Music teachers in Germany have developed a key
learning system especially for the key lighting system of
the AL-100R. This is strictly oriented to the teaching style
for classic piano lessons. The school syllabus can now
be practised at home using the effective key lighting
function. The repertoire of pieces to practise ranges from
traditional and folk music, pop, swing and boogie right up
to light classics. That’s modern piano tuition!
KEY LIGHTING SYSTEM
In the first step,
the student
learns rhythm.
In the second, he
learns to play the
melody. The instrument
shows him
the right sounds.
In the third step,
the illuminated
keys only show
the way. Play
along!
