PARTNER REQUEST
BBS Ref : Laser Zentrum Hannover
Title : Flexible Laser Welding with simultaneous superimposed Laser Beams
ABSTRACT:
Combining multiple laser sources where each one fulfilling its specific task
increase the reliability and quality of welding processes. For example by welding
of copper or aluminium the processing reliability increases near 100% and pore
and crack formation are reduced significantly. The targets of the project are to
develop the needed automation, system technology and process know how for SMEs to
enable them to produce in a large market scale.
DESCRIPTION:
Flexible Laser Welding with simultaneous superimposed Laser Beams can help to
achieve different targets and objektives like e.g.:
- Development of modular welding head prototype incorporating individual modules
- Process development for different welding applications
- Development of minor beam steering module
- Automation of steering module and machine axes interplay
Other details : Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) was founded under the
patronage of the German State Ministry of Trade, Industry, Technology, and
Transportation in Lower Saxony. Our main task is to support applied research in
laser technology on a non-profit basis.
The LZH is involved in:
- R&D projects in the field of laser development and laser applications
- Technical and scientific consulting to link research and practice
- Industry-oriented training of experts for applying and operating laser systems
Through the close cooperation between production engineers, material scientists,
and physicists we find interdisciplinary solutions for all fields of laser
applications.
