Upon the completion of the course the students are expected to have acquired basic<br />

knowledge relating to historical stages of architecture and construction evolution.<br />

None.<br />

Introduction: history of architecture and construction. Pre-history. Mesopotamia. Egypt.<br />

Persia. Ancient Greece and Rome. Early Christian architecture. Pre-Romanesque and<br />

Romanesque architecture. Gothic architecture. Baroque and rococo. Classicism. Neo-styles;<br />

historicism. 19th century architecture. 20th century architecture.<br />
