Historic
Pole
Have you ever noticed
this unusual pole on
Bank Street near Central
Park? According to
Barry Thomas, who is an
enthusiast of streetcar
restoration, "this is a
streetcar pole for sure.. I
believe there is one other
left in the city."
The pole is wellknown
to city heritage
experts who say that it
may be removed and
stored during Bank
Street reconstruction.
