goods) retailing to the Corio homemaker precinct subject to<br />

appropriate re-zoning,<br />

The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Greater</strong> Geelong Retail Centre Hierarchy identifies Corio<br />

Village Shopping Centre as a sub-regional centre and Bell Post<br />

Shopping Centre as Neighbourhood Centre. Corio is identified as a<br />

potential homemaker precinct.<br />

21.08 Development and<br />

Community Infra<strong>structure</strong><br />

Key objectives relate to transport, development contributions, open<br />

space and accessibility.<br />

Structure <strong>plan</strong>s and landscape <strong>plan</strong>s for public spaces should support<br />

policy objectives for well-connected linear open spaces and provide<br />

sufficient open space where residential densities are increased. New<br />

community infra<strong>structure</strong> should provide safe accessibility for all<br />

members <strong>of</strong> the community. Development contributions <strong>plan</strong>s should<br />

be prepared for growth areas.<br />
