Offense Notes<br />
• Wide receiver Eron Riley has led the ACC in<br />
yards per reception in each of the past two seasons.<br />
The Savannah, Ga., product was <strong>Duke</strong>’s MVP in<br />
2007 after catching 40 passes for 830 yards and nine<br />
touchdowns and his 1,722 career receiving yards<br />
rank eighth on <strong>Duke</strong>’s all-time chart.<br />
<strong>2008</strong> NOTEBOOK<br />
• Running back Re’quan Boyette – <strong>Duke</strong>’s leading<br />
ground-gainer in each of the past two years – is<br />
one of seven active players in the ACC with over<br />
1,000 career rushing yards.<br />
• “Splitting carries or not splitting carries -- I’ll do<br />
whatever it takes to help make the team better.”<br />

• Quarterback Thaddeus Lewis enters his third<br />
season as a Blue Devil with 4,564 yards and 32<br />
passing touchdowns to his credit. Lewis has started<br />
23 straight games under center for <strong>Duke</strong> and his<br />
4,564 career passing yards are the fourth-most by<br />
a two-year player in ACC history.<br />
• Just two seasons into his career, quarterback<br />
Thaddeus Lewis already ranks among the school’s<br />
passing leaders. The Opa-Locka, Fla., native ranks<br />
fifth in passing touchdowns (32), sixth in pass attempts<br />
(700), sixth in completions (379) and sixth<br />
in yards (4,564).<br />
• Tight end Tielor Robinson is the most experienced<br />
player on the <strong>Duke</strong> roster, having played in<br />
38 career games. Granted a sixth year of eligibility<br />
by the NCAA, Robinson has compiled 1,123 career<br />
all-purpose yards while scoring 11 touchdowns.<br />
• Offensive linemen Cameron Goldberg (23),<br />
Fred Roland (23) and Rob Schirmann (24) have<br />
combined to start 70 career games.<br />
• Tight end Brandon King caught 10 passes in 2007<br />
– four of which went for touchdowns.<br />

Defense Notes<br />
• Among the ACC’s active players, linebacker<br />
Michael Tauiliili ranks first in both career tackles<br />
(294) and career tackles for loss (33.0). The Houston,<br />
Texas, native already ranks seventh on the school’s<br />
career list for tackles for loss and needs just 34<br />
tackles to crack <strong>Duke</strong>’s top 10 for career stops.<br />
• Defensive tackle Vince Oghobaase enters the<br />
<strong>2008</strong> season with 20.0 career tackles for loss in 24<br />
career games.<br />
• Linebackers Vincent Rey and Michael Tauiliili<br />
combined for 219 tackles in 2007 – the secondhighest<br />
total among two teammates in the league.<br />
Both players ranked in the top five in the league<br />
for tackles per game.<br />
• Cornerback Leon Wright, who tied for the team<br />
lead with three interceptions in 2007, ranked among<br />
the ACC’s top 10 in both total passes defended and<br />
punt return average.<br />
• <strong>Duke</strong> returns 10 starters on defense from a year<br />
ago – the highest total in the league.<br />
• Defensive end Wesley Oglesby was a Freshman<br />
All-ACC pick in 2007 after registering 37 tackles, 6.5<br />
tackle for loss and a team-best seven quarterback<br />
pressures. He was joined on the all-rookie team by<br />
teammates Bryan Morgan and Nick Maggio.<br />
• Return specialist Jabari Marshall ranked third in<br />
the ACC in kickoff return average (24.6) last year.<br />
Marshall ranks second on <strong>Duke</strong>’s all-time chart<br />
with 1,886 career kickoff return yards.<br />
