portfolio. Cem Alfar, 46, from early 2010 until recently had his own
company, ACRES, which specialised in advising on retail RE business
in Turkey. Before ACRES, he was the MD of Foruminvest in Turkey
from early 2007 until the end of 2009. Previously, Cem worked for
Doğan Şirketler Grubu as real estate developer, ECE Türkiye as head
of the Business Development Department, Efsane Motor as general
manager and McDonald’s as senior real estate representative. Cem is
the CEO for Corio Türkiye since May 2012.
Ahmet Alga is the Chief Financial Officer of Dumankaya, one of the
leading real estate groups of Turkey. He has 15 years of experience
in the Turkish real estate market by holding financial management
positions in public real estate companies and advising RE companies
and international funds. Graduated from the Boğaziςi University
as an Industrial Engineer in 1998, Ahmet Alga has earned an MBA
from the Boğaziςi University in 2000. He has been a member of
the Urban Land Institute since 2004 and a member of the Association
of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER) since 2000.

Evran Alper is a graduate of ETH Zurich, a Swiss state licensed
architect and a member of SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and
Architects). After the international architectural practice by
Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in Chicago, he made his experience at
international consultancy for Real Estate by Wuest&Partner in Zurich
and continued his career as Construction Manager by Losinger-
Marazzi, a subsidiary of French Bouygues Construction in Switzerland.
Mr. Alper is a founding partner of CAC, an independent asset
management and private equity firm managing over 250 Mio EUR
Real Estate and related assets in Turkey. He also serves in the board of
Tures, Turkey’s leading architectural firm in big scale redevelopments
and restorations. Mr. Alper is an official expert of OSEC for real
estate and energy.
The core responsibility of METRO PROPERTIES Turkey is to enhance
the value of its real estate assets in long term through active and
strategic portfolio management. As a service provider for the site
search, development and construction of retail locations, METRO
PROPERTIES acts as Real Estate Developer and Investor for the
expansion of METRO GROUP Sales Lines from scratch to completion.
In addition, METRO PROPERTIES provides METRO GROUP Sales
Lines with fast, flexible expansion opportunities. İlker Aydın holds
the position as Head of Project Development/Expansion & Asset
Management Division.

Senay Azak-Matt is the General Manager of Aareal Bank AG/Istanbul

worked for and later managed the Turkish Credit Department and

Barlas Balcıoğlu is a partner and the Head of Real Estate Team in
the Firm. With a unique combination of real estate, acquisition and
finance experience, Barlas advises on domestic and cross-border
real estate transactions and asset management work. He advises
banks in drafting and negotiating loan agreements; and acts for real
estate owners, developers, and investors on the financing, acquisition
and sale of commercial real estate. He has extensive experience
in M&As, JVs, and restructurings, where he negotiated and drafted
shareholders, share purchase, consortium, and asset
transfer agreements.
