Mothers <strong>and</strong> families living in the<br />
Yarram area are able to access<br />
enhanced maternity <strong>and</strong> family<br />
services. This can begin with:<br />
Antenatal education <strong>and</strong> support:<br />
This service is available to all regardless of<br />
where you choose to give birth, however<br />
we’d prefer clients to arrange with the<br />
hospital they have chosen for delivery for a<br />
greater sense of familiarity within your<br />
chosen hospital.<br />
Postnatal care <strong>and</strong> support:<br />
Home visits provided by the <strong>Maternity</strong><br />
<strong>Support</strong> Worker for early parenting support.<br />

The <strong>YDHS</strong> <strong>Family</strong> <strong>Support</strong> Worker provides<br />
general support to families with children of any<br />
age. Including single session counselling,<br />
assessment <strong>and</strong> referral to appropriate services<br />
such as: local parent support groups, early<br />
intervention, respite <strong>and</strong> case management.<br />
