10. Corrupti<strong>on</strong>. According to the Business Envir<strong>on</strong>ment and Enterprise Pr<strong>of</strong>itability<br />
Study (BEEPS) made in 2007, 59 percent <strong>of</strong> entities c<strong>on</strong>sider corrupti<strong>on</strong> as a fundamental<br />
obstacle to their business activities. This indicator is the highest in the regi<strong>on</strong>, and<br />
c<strong>on</strong>firms that the situati<strong>on</strong> is changing for the worse in comparis<strong>on</strong> with the BEEPS<br />
2002. Moreover, in accordance with the corrupti<strong>on</strong> index ranking <strong>of</strong> 2008. (produced by<br />
the internati<strong>on</strong>al organizati<strong>on</strong> Transparency Internati<strong>on</strong>a), Kyrgyzstan is at 166 th place<br />
am<strong>on</strong>g 180 countries. Corrupti<strong>on</strong> has entered and influenced many areas <strong>of</strong> activities.<br />
