Evolution by sectors of activity
Générale Location was granted for a twenty year period
the mandate of management of the International
Convention Center of Barcelona which will be inaugurated
in 2004. Likewise since 1 January 2002 the Group is managing
the Pierre Baudis Convention Center in Toulouse for a
duration of 10 years. These two new mandates reinforce
the Group’s presence in the business of venue management,
considering the fact that Générale Location already
manages the Convention Centers of Lyon, Clermont
Ferrand and Saint Etienne. The distribution of its activities,
as a service provider to its clients who organize shows or
events and to its clients who exhibit at these shows and
events, can be presented as follows :

The volume of activity in venue management experiences a 3% decline in 2001, as a result of the closing of Espace Eiffel
Branly in February 2001, to give way to a museum.

The sector “Technology” includes GL Lumière & Son, GL Image, GL Data Systems and Boîte à Sons. System, which includes
Action Développement, Sodem System and ISF, is made up of companies with activities turned towards sales.
Contribution from companies acquired in 2001
Net sales generated by companies newly acquired in 2001
amount to 13.7 m€.
Owen Brown is placed under the sector Foreign
Subsidiairies ; over the first six months of 2001, its
contribution comes to 9.9 m€. The events market is the
main beneficiary. Package ‘s net sales are integrated in the
Other Services for an amount of 3.8 m€. It concerns the
development in engineering and communication and is
classified in the Events sector.
