10 11 V enue management for events has experienced a rapid development within the portfolio of activities of Générale Location. This dynamism reflects the wish expressed by more and more local communities to externalize and entrust with well-known specialists the management of their convention centers and exhibition halls with as objective the hosting of different events such as congresses, conventions, seminars, exhibitions, cocktails, shows, meetings,… For the cities it is a way to enhance their images and to contribute to the local economic development, especially for hotels and tourism in general. Already in charge of the congress centers of Lyon, Saint Priest, Saint Etienne and Clermont- Ferrand, Générale Location has just been entrusted with the management of the congress center of Toulouse for ten years and with the management of the congress center of Barcelona for twenty years. This 80 000 m 2 structure in the building phase, will offer an exceptional potential to welcome and promote. Venue management gives the Group strong recurrence and a guarantee for long-term visibility. With these activities, the Group will be able to tighten relations with its clients, who will be assured a venue and a specific date for their events. Générale Location can propose a global offer which includes the provision of a site along a whole package of services. Venue management plays the role of relay allowing the Group’s other activities to develop themselves in total complementary. As the number of venues managed by Générale Location increases, the group will propose a European offer making it possible to host on different sites successive editions of the same event or diversified events proposed by the same organizer. Through the creation or the renewal of management agreements, this activity should grow regularly to represent within five years a fourth of the Group’s total sales. Congress Center Toulouse
