REFUNDS
• A $100.00 service charge will be kept for all refunds before June 11
• After the deadlines mentioned above, there will be a 50% refund granted
OVERNIGHT CAMP TEAM RATE AVAILABLE
• Must have at least eight team members from your school to receive
the $25/camper discount. All registration must be received
together as a team

LODGING
• All campers will reside in a specifi ed
dormitory on the Duke University campus.
Details will be emailed to campers
CHECK-IN/OUT
• Check-in will be from 12-3 p.m. on
July 2 at the dorm
• Check-out will be from 12-2 p.m. on
July 5
• A $50.00 room key deposit will be
required at check-in and should be returned
at check-out
COMMUTERS
• All commuters will be required to check
in with their coaches at the start of each
morning session and be dismissed at the
end of their evening game
• Commuters will receive lunch and dinner
each day
MEALS
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be
served on campus
• The fi rst meal will be dinner on July 2 and
the fi nal meal will be breakfast on July 5
MEDICAL SUPERVISION
• A certifi ed athletic trainer will be on site
at the fi eld and in the dorms and will be
available 24 hours a day
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
• All campers will experience the
strength and conditioning aspect of a
Division I college program
• Campers will receive hands on instruction
on the techniques and benefi
ts of plyometrics, speed development,
strength training and fl exibility
TRAVEL
• Flights should be booked to arrive between
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 2
• Flights should be booked to depart
between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on July 5

To provide a positive and supportive learning environment while allowing the campers to experience the latest technical and tactical aspects of the
game. Our dedicated staff will provide instruction specifi c to the needs of the individual campers and/or team, and will challenge them to read and
adjust to situations in a game-like environment.

HEAD COACH
DUKE UNIVERSITY
Pam Bustin is entering her fi rst year at the helm of
the Blue Devils. Be-fore being named the head of the
Duke program, Bustin spent thirteen years bringing
the University of Louisville to national prominence.
Bustin brings her experience, passion, and knowledge
to Duke University and aims to bring the program
back to the National Championship.
Bustin is one of the few coaches in the US with her
Level III Accreditation and FIH recommendation.
She has served as an Assistant Coach for the US
Women’s National Team and traveled to the 2008
Bejing Olympic Games where she helped a competitive
Team USA to success. Team USA’s performance
in the Olympic Games earned the team a #9 World
Ranking, the highest since 1996. Bustin is currently
the US Under-19 National Team assistant coach.
Bustin spent nine years on the USA women’s national
team and fi nished her career at the 1996 Olympic
Games in Atlanta, GA. Her experiences with the national
team took her to prestigious events all over the world,
including the World Cup, Champions Trophy, and Pan
American Games. Bustin graduated from the University
of Massachusetts where she was a fi rst team All-America
selection and Honda-Broderick Award nominee.
ASST. DIRECTOR: JARRED MARTIN
ASSTISTANT COACH
DUKE UNIVERSITY
Jarred is entering his fi fth season at Duke University
and his fi rst as a part of Bustin’s staff. He is an offensive
specialist and is a current US Men’s National
Team standout with 78 international caps and 42
international goals. Martin has his Level III Accreditation
from USA Hockey and works with the South
High Performance Team.

ASSTISTANT COACH

Britt is entering her fi rst season with the Blue
Devils. She is a goalkeeping specialist and also
focuses upon team defense. Broady coached with
Pam Bustin at Louisville for eight seasons before
coming to Duke. She is also highly involved with US
developmental players at High Performance, Junior
National Camp and Futures. She currently has her
Level II Accreditation.
I/We the undersigned hereby certify that I (we) am (are) the parent or legal
guardian of the camper. I hereby give permission for the staff of the camp,
during the period of the camp, to seek appropriate medical attention for the
camper, the medical attention to be given, and for the camper to receive medical
attention in the event of accident, injury, or illness. I will be responsible for
any and all of those costs of medical attention and treatment and have medical
insurance to cover these costs.
I (we) the undersigned, for ourselves and as guardian(s) of (camper),
understand that fi eld hockey is an active, physical sport, and that injuries take
place during play. I/We also understand there will be a number of children
attending the camp, there will be a limited number of coaches and/or counselors,
and that our child cannot receive individualized attention and supervision
all the time. I/We understand that, as with any sport, injuries can occur, and
we hereby acknowledge that our child is physically fi t and mentally capable of
participating in camp.

waive, release and forever discharge the Arete Field Hockey Camp and
its staff, offi cers, agents, employees, representatives, successors and assign
