LODGING<br />

dormitory on the <strong>Duke</strong> <strong>University</strong> campus.<br />

CHECK-IN/OUT<br />

• Check-in will be from 12-3 p.m. on<br />

July 2 at the dorm<br />

• Check-out will be from 12-2 p.m. on<br />

July 5<br />

• A $50.00 room key deposit will be<br />

required at check-in and should be returned<br />

at check-out<br />

COMMUTERS<br />

• All commuters will be required to check<br />

in with their coaches at the start of each<br />

morning session and be dismissed at the<br />

end of their evening game<br />

• Commuters will receive lunch and dinner<br />

MEALS<br />

• Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be<br />

served on campus<br />

• The fi rst meal will be dinner on July 2 and<br />

the fi nal meal will be breakfast on July 5<br />

MEDICAL SUPERVISION<br />

• A certifi ed athletic trainer will be on site<br />

at the fi eld and in the dorms and will be<br />

available 24 hours a day<br />

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING<br />

• All campers will experience the<br />

strength and conditioning aspect of a<br />

Division I college program<br />

• <strong>Camp</strong>ers will receive hands on instruction<br />

on the techniques and benefi<br />

ts of plyometrics, speed development,<br />

strength training and fl exibility<br />

TRAVEL<br />

• Flights should be booked to arrive between<br />

11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 2<br />

• Flights should be booked to depart<br />

between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on July 5<br />

•Details regarding transportation to<br />

To provide a positive and supportive learning environment while allowing the campers to experience the latest technical and tactical aspects of the<br />

game. Our dedicated staff will provide instruction specifi c to the needs of the individual campers and/or team, and will challenge them to read and<br />

adjust to situations in a game-like environment.<br />

DIRECTOR: PAM BUSTIN<br />

HEAD COACH<br />

DUKE UNIVERSITY<br />

Pam Bustin is entering her fi rst year at the helm of<br />

the Blue Devils. Be-fore being named the head of the<br />

<strong>Duke</strong> program, Bustin spent thirteen years bringing<br />

the <strong>University</strong> of Louisville to national prominence.<br />

Bustin brings her experience, passion, and knowledge<br />

to <strong>Duke</strong> <strong>University</strong> and aims to bring the program<br />

back to the National Championship.<br />

Bustin is one of the few coaches in the US with her<br />

Level III Accreditation and FIH recommendation.<br />

She has served as an Assistant Coach for the US<br />

Women’s National Team and traveled to the 2008<br />

Bejing Olympic Games where she helped a competitive<br />

Team USA to success. Team USA’s performance<br />

in the Olympic Games earned the team a #9 World<br />

Ranking, the highest since 1996. Bustin is currently<br />

the US Under-19 National Team assistant coach.<br />

Bustin spent nine years on the USA women’s national<br />

team and fi nished her career at the 1996 Olympic<br />

Games in Atlanta, GA. Her experiences with the national<br />

team took her to prestigious events all over the world,<br />

including the World Cup, Champions Trophy, and Pan<br />

American Games. Bustin graduated from the <strong>University</strong><br />

of Massachusetts where she was a fi rst team All-America<br />

selection and Honda-Broderick Award nominee.<br />

ASST. DIRECTOR: JARRED MARTIN<br />

ASSTISTANT COACH<br />

DUKE UNIVERSITY<br />

Jarred is entering his fi fth season at <strong>Duke</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />

and his fi rst as a part of Bustin’s staff. He is an offensive<br />

specialist and is a current US Men’s National<br />

Team standout with 78 international caps and 42<br />

international goals. Martin has his Level III Accreditation<br />

from USA Hockey and works with the South<br />

High Performance Team.<br />

ASSTISTANT COACH<br />

DUKE UNIVERSITY<br />

Britt is entering her fi rst season with the Blue<br />

Devils. She is a goalkeeping specialist and also<br />

focuses upon team defense. Broady coached with<br />

Pam Bustin at Louisville for eight seasons before<br />

coming to <strong>Duke</strong>. She is also highly involved with US<br />

developmental players at High Performance, Junior<br />

National <strong>Camp</strong> and Futures. She currently has her<br />

Level II Accreditation.<br />

I/We the undersigned hereby certify that I (we) am (are) the parent or legal<br />

guardian of the camper. I hereby give permission for the staff of the camp,<br />

during the period of the camp, to seek appropriate medical attention for the<br />

camper, the medical attention to be given, and for the camper to receive medical<br />

attention in the event of accident, injury, or illness. I will be responsible for<br />

any and all of those costs of medical attention and treatment and have medical<br />

insurance to cover these costs.<br />

I (we) the undersigned, for ourselves and as guardian(s) of (camper),<br />

understand that fi eld hockey is an active, physical sport, and that injuries take<br />

place during play. I/We also understand there will be a number of children<br />

attending the camp, there will be a limited number of coaches and/or counselors,<br />

and that our child cannot receive individualized attention and supervision<br />

all the time. I/We understand that, as with any sport, injuries can occur, and<br />

we hereby acknowledge that our child is physically fi t and mentally capable of<br />

participating in camp.<br />

waive, release and forever discharge the Arete Field Hockey <strong>Camp</strong> and<br />
