DESCRIPTION:<br />

Autocryl Rally Black is a low gloss black topcoat for use whenever a black eggshell<br />

finish is required. Rally Black's low gloss finish makes it an ideal choice for use as a<br />

non-glare finish.<br />

Using Autocryl Hardener or Autocryl Hardener rapid with Sikkens Standard,<br />

Production or Rapid Activator, Autocryl Rally Black should be mixed as follows:<br />

3 parts by volume of Autocryl Rally Black, with<br />

1 part by volume of Autocryl Hardener<br />

1 part by volume of Sikkens Activator<br />

10% additional Standard Activator may be added for smoother application.<br />

For easy and accurate mixing, use the Sikkens Measuring Stick #9 (Grey).<br />

Autocryl Rally Black can be directly applied on top of the following surfaces:<br />

—All existing finishes degreased and sanded with #P500 to #P600 grit paper dry or<br />

#P600 to #P800 grit wet.<br />

—All Sikkens preparatory products.<br />

—All products that are to be sanded, initial sanding may be required but final sanding<br />

with #P500 to #P600 grit paper dry or #P600 to #P800 grit wet is re<strong>com</strong>mended.<br />

—Wet-on-wet products, please follow re<strong>com</strong>mendation for product in use by<br />

consulting the relevant Technical Data Sheet.<br />

The proper spraying viscosity is achieved by using the re<strong>com</strong>mended mixing ratio.<br />

17–18 sec ZAHN cup #2 (16–17 sec DIN cup #4) at 70°F (20°C).<br />

When mixed with Autocryl Hardener Rapid: 45 minutes at 70°F (20°C).<br />

When mixed with Sikkens Standard Hardener / XP Hardener and Production<br />

Activator: 2 hours at 70°F (20°C).

Do not handle until the Material Safety Data Sheets have been read and<br />

understood. Regulations require that all employees be trained on the Material<br />

Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals with which they <strong>com</strong>e in contact. The<br />

manufacturer re<strong>com</strong>mends the use of protective equipment when mixing and<br />

spraying this material. Protect skin with gloves and spray suits, wear safety glasses<br />

or goggles when mixing, and wear full hood fresh air fed respirator while spraying.
