HOFSTRA PRIDE CLUB<br />

In <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> the <strong>Hofstra</strong> Pride Club raised a record $2.4 million for <strong>Hofstra</strong> <strong>Athletics</strong>, which<br />

represented a 95% increase in total funds raised.<br />

Other 20<strong>12</strong> <strong>Athletics</strong> De velopment<br />

highlights included:<br />

Receiving the largest single gift in department history.<br />

A 9% increase in new gifts to athletics department (gifts not associated with multi-year pledges).<br />

A 202% increase in funds <strong>com</strong>mitted through multi-year pledges.<br />

Blue and Gold Society membership increased by 52% (32 members in 20<strong>12</strong> <strong>com</strong>pared to 21 in<br />

<strong>2011</strong>).<br />

Membership increased by 3% (1,113 vs. 1,078).<br />

Former student-athlete giving remained at a high level of 16% for the last two years (was 7% in<br />

2009).<br />

An 18% increase in young alumni giving from 2010 (<strong>12</strong>4 in 20<strong>12</strong>, up from 105 in 2010).<br />

100% participation from Pride Club Board of Directors.<br />

The Department of <strong>Athletics</strong> would like to thank the <strong>Hofstra</strong> Pride Club Board for their support of<br />

Pride student-athletes this past year.<br />
