The Giants drafted seven players during the 2012 NFL Draft. Four of them have made an immediate
impact. Here’s a look at the Giants impact rookies:

RB DAVID WILSON
David Wilson has been an effective weapon for the Giants’ kickoff return team.
He has returned 56 kickoffs for a franchise-record 1,504 yards (26.9-yard average),
including a season-long 97-yard touchdown on his second return of the
game vs. New Orleans. In Week 16 at Baltimore, Wilson rushed three times
for 17 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Wilson also
returned five kickoffs for 117 yards.
WR RUEBEN RANDLE
Rueben Randle, the Giants second-round draft pick, was the team’s primary
punt returner for most of the season. Randle has returned 15 punts for 108
yards through 15 games. In 2012, Randle has caught 15 passes for 240 yards and
one touchdown. In Week 16 at Baltimore, Randle led the team with 43 receiving
yards on his only reception of the game.
CB JAYRON HOSLEY
Third-round pick Jayron Hosley has seen action as the team’s nickel cornerback
and has started five games. Due to early-season injuries, the Virginia Tech product
made his first NFL start at Carolina in Week 3. Against the Cam Newton-led
Panthers, Hosley recorded his first-career interception in the second quarter. He
also recorded a career-high five tackles in a Week 7 victory against Washington.
In Week 16 at Baltimore, Hosley started at corner in place of
Prince Amukamara and recorded six solo tackles.
DT MARKUS KUHN
Before suffering a season-ending ACL injury in Week 10 at Cincinnati, Markus
Kuhn was one of the pleasant surprises of the 2012 draft. The seventh-round
selection out of NC State had recorded eight tackles (four solo), batted away four
passes and received heavy praise from Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell for
his play.
