With the bye week looming ahead, the Giants lost their second straight game, as they fell
to the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium by a score of 31-13. With the loss, the Giants fell to
6-4 on the season and 0-2 in November after going 4-0 in October.
It was a very sloppy game for the Giants overall, as they turned the ball over four times,
allowed four sacks, and constantly allowed the Bengals’ offense to start their drives with
short fields. The Giants gave up touchdowns on consecutive drives in the first quarter of
the game, as wide receivers A.J. Green and Andrew Hawkins scored on receptions of 56
and 11 yards from quarterback Andy Dalton. The Giants had several chances to trim the
deficit, which grew to as many as 25 points, but various mistakes halted many drives that
had promise.
Despite losing by 18 points and only reaching the end zone once, the Giants actually
ended the game with more total yards than the Bengals (318-275). Eli Manning completed
29 of 46 passes for 215 yards and two interceptions. Hakeem Nicks hauled in nine
receptions for 75 yards. Prince Amukamara led the team in tackles with 10, while Chase
Blackburn and Michael Boley had eight and seven, respectively.
For the third straight game, Andre Brown was the only Giant to account for an offensive
touchdown.
