Maker’s Mark Distillery
Your tour of this National
Historic Landmark distillery
begins near the stonewalled
creek that runs through the
grounds, where you’ll hear a
brief history of the distillery.
Its black buildings feature
bright red shutters with a Maker’s Mark bottle cutout. Maker’s
Mark crafts its bourbon in 19 barrel batches! You must be 21
to purchase and dip your own bottle of Maker’s Mark.

Muhammad Ali
Center
Louisville is the
birthplace of Muhammad
Ali, one of the many
reasons he chose to
locate the $41 million
Muhammad Ali Center
here, and the location of the Closing Night Party for GAS. The
24,000 sq-foot facility, which opened in 2005, houses exhibit
space, classrooms, theatres, a library & function space. It is a
place that redeems & esteems the core values behind Ali himself
– peace, social responsibility, respect & growth. The Center not
only explores Ali’s life & what makes him such an enduring hero,
it also touches visitor’s lives & inspires them to emulate his
perseverance, discipline & ability to stand up for ones beliefs.

Speed Art Museum
The museum displays
5,000 works of art ranging
from ancient to contemporary
and spanning 6,000
years of history. Masters
such as Rubens, Monet,
Rembrandt and Picasso
are featured. While at the Speed, be sure to see the Art Sparks
Interactive Gallery, the region’s only hands-on art display
designed to capture the interest of an art lover. The GAS
Pre-Conference Reception will be at the Speed and showcased
will be the extensive Leight glass collection.

The 40,000 sq-foot concrete,
course features pipes, bowls,
ramps and rails that test
even professionals. In-line
skating and biking are
welcome with opportunities
for people of all ages and skill levels. Helmets required!

Visit the eclectic commercial
2-3 mile stretch from Market Street, near what’s known as the
Cherokee Triangle, to Taylorsville Road. Bardstown Road is one
of the most unique shopping districts in Jefferson Country, and
features some of Louisville’s finest dining establishments, Irish
pubs and nightclubs along with the best antique shopping and
