HOFSTRA FIELD HOCKEY STADIUM/FACILITIES<br />
In 2007 the Hofstra University Field Hockey program moved into a<br />
brand new facility on the north side of campus.<br />
The new Hofstra University Field Hockey Stadium includes bleacher<br />
seating, a press box, and is outfitted with the state-of-the-art Hockey<br />
Grass Club surface, a synthetic turf designed solely for <strong>field</strong> <strong>hockey</strong> by<br />
Sportexe.<br />
Sportexe ® HockeyGrassClub, a smooth and predictable, fast and<br />
incredibly durable surface, is a special tufted nylon system that delivers<br />
optimum performance. Approved by the Fédération Internationale de<br />
Hockey (FIH), Sportexe ® HockeyGrassClub is the official artificial<br />
turf system of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association<br />
(NFHCA).<br />
Sportexe ® , which has decades of <strong>field</strong> <strong>hockey</strong> installation expertise, is<br />
proud of its partnership with the NFHCA, working with the Association<br />
on R&D efforts to enhance <strong>field</strong> <strong>hockey</strong> systems.<br />
The Pride opened the Stadium September 14, 2007, versus Yale. The<br />
Pride’s Brit Blankmeyer scored the first goal in stadium history 8:17<br />
into the contest. The Pride is 28-18 at the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium<br />
since its grand opening.<br />
