SECTION 4.4 AT THE HEARING: State your case clearly at the meeting and be confident of your facts. Listen carefully to management’s response.Take notes.Make sure that both sides agree on what action is to be taken. You should speak to your senior workplace representative or your <strong>GMB</strong> officer at the earliest opportunity if the initial hearing does not resolve the situation and advise them of the problem.They will need to be involved in the later stages of the procedure. No matter how justifiable a grievance,you can expect to lose it if you miss the time limits under the agreement for processing the grievance at each step.Make sure you follow each step of your grievance procedure.
