<strong>GMB</strong> RECOGNISED <strong>WO</strong>RKPLACES: INVESTIGATIONS<br />

Where the employer recognises <strong>GMB</strong> and negotiates terms and conditions of employment with us,<br />

improvements on this framework should be negotiated and agreed.<br />

In particular <strong>GMB</strong> Workplace Organisers need to ensure that their local procedure also includes an<br />

investigation stage prior to step one on the legal minimum procedure.<br />

This stage is usually conducted‘without prejudice’and can be essential in helping you to establish the<br />

facts.It is often a good opportunity to convince the employer that there is no case and have the<br />

disciplinary dropped.<br />
