This manual is intended to give the<br />

installer of this certifi ed engine all of the<br />

information that is necessary to properly<br />

install the engine and related components.<br />

Failure to follow these instructions when<br />

installing a certifi ed engine violates federal<br />

law (40CFR 1068.105(b)), subject to fi nes<br />

or other penalties as described in the Clean<br />

Air Act.<br />

Use of the correct engine fuel supply<br />

pressure is essential. It is the responsibility<br />

of the installer to install a fuel pressure<br />

regulator upstream of the engine and to<br />

verify the correct fuel pressure specifi ed by<br />

the manufacturer is supplied to the engine.<br />

After the fuel pressure has been set and<br />

verifi ed it is the responsibility of the installer<br />

to protect the fuel pressure setting from any<br />

further adjustment or tampering.<br />

Arrow cannot be held liable for any<br />

emissions noncompliance resulting from<br />

incorrect installation of this engine or failure<br />

to use the required settings.<br />

ALTITUDE ADJUSTMENTS<br />

Below are the adjustments required to the inlet fuel pressure for the certifi ed engines<br />

at various elevations to maintain the certifi ed emissions, eg: C-101 running 800 RPM at<br />

10,000' elevation the fuel pressure should be set at 3.5" WC, fi gured thusly - Standard fuel<br />

setting 5" WC + -1.5" WC = 3.5" WC<br />
