Concerning dimensioning of the solar collector area in correl<strong>at</strong>ion to the installed cooling<br />

capacity, which is a typical planning indic<strong>at</strong>or for solar thermal cooling plants, the values vary<br />

from 1,2 m²/kW to 10,7 m²/kW (see Figure 5). Also the configur<strong>at</strong>ion of the hot storage tank<br />

in correl<strong>at</strong>ion to the solar collector area has quite a large range from 9,4 l/m² to 166,7 l/m²<br />

(see Figure 6).<br />

The usage of solar thermal he<strong>at</strong> is limited to air-conditioning in three of the evalu<strong>at</strong>ed plants,<br />

all of the other plants use the solar thermal he<strong>at</strong> either for space he<strong>at</strong>ing support <strong>and</strong>/or<br />

domestic hot w<strong>at</strong>er (DHW) prepar<strong>at</strong>ion (see Figure 7).<br />
