General description of the system<br />

The solar thermally driven absorption cooling system is designed to control the air<br />

temper<strong>at</strong>ure of the SOLution <strong>Solar</strong>technik GmbH headquarter office (150 m² useful area) in<br />

summer <strong>and</strong> winter. The system configur<strong>at</strong>ion allows a solar-autonomous cooling oper<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />

e.g. the driving he<strong>at</strong> for the absorption chiller is only gener<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>and</strong> provided by the solar<br />

system. A gas driven boiler allows test routines <strong>and</strong> as well a significant he<strong>at</strong>ing support in<br />

winter.<br />

Since 2008 the company of SOLution <strong>Solar</strong>technik GmbH has moved to a new headquarter<br />

building. Therefore the solar absorption cooling system has been disassembled <strong>and</strong> the<br />

system is not anymore in oper<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
