Greetings Brothers and Sisters:<br />
Happy February to all! Hope you all are staying warm….I would like to start <strong>of</strong>f by saying thank you to all who came<br />
out on Saturday, Jan. 26 th to help clean up the lodge…there were approximately 8 or 9 members who cleaned the<br />
kitchen, pool room, lodge hall, bar and outside patio. Everything looks a lot cleaner..good job! Also, you might want<br />
to take a look at our carpet in the social room and in the foyer…had that cleaned as well.<br />
We have a few things going on this month…our regular monthly breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 2, featuring Nick Hill &<br />
John Long making omelets your way….and on Sunday, Feb 3, our Superbowl dinner by Nick Hill..a super colossal Philly<br />
Cheese steak sandwich dinner and a “bring your own meat” BBQ on Saturday, Feb. 23. Please come out and support<br />
these events…no where else are you going to get a great breakfast or dinner for a minimal cost..and times being<br />
what they are…the lodge needs your support..all proceeds go towards the Reedley <strong>Eagles</strong> Project fund.<br />
We would like to remind all Reedley Eagle members about our State President’s Visit here on Thursday, March 7.<br />
We will have a great chili verde dinner and awards presentation following the dinner. Hope to see all members and<br />
especially all Officers then. Save the date for our upcoming Reedley <strong>Eagles</strong> Golf Tournament to be held on Sat.,<br />
April 27 th . We are currently accepting sponsorships and raffle donations.<br />
We want to welcome our four new members who were initiated at our last meeting. We still need to see more<br />
members attend our meetings. Please, Please, Please….get involved…your Aerie needs you!<br />
Don’t forget to use the suggestion box..we will consider all suggestions.<br />

"The Reedley <strong>Eagles</strong> Lodge #2781 held its’ Annual Silent<br />
Auction on Saturday, November 10. The event went very<br />
well and successfully helped raise $2,500 for the Valley<br />
Center for the Blind <strong>of</strong> Fresno. Valley Center for the Blind<br />
provides many types <strong>of</strong> assistance for all ages from 5 - 102<br />
years old. They receive group and individual counseling,<br />
classes for brail, computer, independent living skills and<br />
cooking. The Valley Center for the Blind assist<br />
approximately 500 people in Fresno and the surrounding<br />
counties <strong>of</strong> Kings, Kern, Tulare, Merced, Mariposa and<br />
Madera. The goal is to reach as many people as possible who<br />
would greatly benefit from the Center's services. "<br />

Ken Warkentin; Executive Director, Valley Center for the<br />
Blind, and Angel Romero, Worthy Vice President, Reedley<br />
